Sex coaching covers a wide array of concerns related to sex, sexuality, and the sexual self. It combines the knowledge of clinical sexology with the techniques of wellness coaching for a truly holistic approach that is present-centered, impact-focused, interdisciplinary, and future-oriented.
Based on a model developed by Patti Britton and supported by my training in Mind-Body Medicine and Humanistic-Existential Psychology, I address the connection between mind, body, spirit, emotions, and energy to help you understand where you are in your sexual life and how to move toward BETTER SEX.
I engage with coaching clients from all over the world via telephone and HIPPA-compliant televideo services. Research has shown that this online, telephone format for coaching is just as effective as face-to-face coaching and in the context of sex coaching many clients feel more secure and confident working over the phone.
Sessions run between 1-1.5 hours on average at $105 per hour. Half-hour spot coaching is available for established clients. There is no one right and true way to have sex. There is no one right and true way to engage with your sexual partner. Not only is every person a unique sexual being, sexuality is fluid and ever-changing with age, new partners, new conditions or circumstances. For all of these reasons, there is no one right and true way to coach. All sessions will be specifically tailored to your individual needs and concerns.
Sex coaching is a relativity new and unregulated field. There is no standard of training or official licensing board for sex coaches. Sex coaches are not therapists or licensed medical providers. For these reasons, it is very important that you use caution in selecting a sex coach. Even when you find a properly trained, experienced, and well-referred sex coach, they still might not be the correct match for you and your concerns.
Not all sex coaches are created equal. There are some that work face-to-face and others that work hands-on. I prefer online coaching because I can reach more people while still being a truly effective coach. It also allows me to travel for workshops and remain available to my client-base rather than taking long periods away.
I was trained at Sex Coach U and certified as a Professional Sex Coach by the World Association of Sex Coaches. The coaching model I was trained in is designed to address sexual issues through an integrated approach to Mind, Emotion, Body, Energy, and Spirit (MEBES). In addition to this training, I have spent hundreds of hours training at a graduate level in guided imagery, biofeedback, hypnosis, nutrition, exercise, and wellness coaching in order to earn my Master of Science degree in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University and completed the Professional and Advanced Training Programs offered by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. My PhD is in Humanistic-Existential Psychology, also earned at Saybrook University. None of this, however, is to say that I am the best and only sex coach for you. That is why I invite you to take advantage of a FREE 15-minute consultation where we can discuss your goals and determine if we are a good fit. If not, I will do my best to refer you to someone who might be better suited.
